Wendy’s Chili Copycat

I’ve always been a fan of Wendy’s chili. I have a bunch of different recipes for chili but this one is a quick “throw together” one. It’s a very good clone of the Wendy’s version! I love enjoying chili this time of year when its starting to get cold.

Dice up one cup of onions and 1/4 cup of celery. I usually add in 1/2 cup of diced green chilis but I didn’t have any on hand this time. Canned works fine for this, or use two fresh chilis. Brown ground beef in a skillet, then combine beef in a large pot with other ingredients and spices. Simmer over low heat for 2-3 hours. Really, that’s all there is to it!

My favorite way to enjoy chili is to top it with shredded cheddar, onions, and sour cream. Serve with tortilla chips on the side for dipping!
