I can’t tell you how many times in the past few months I’ve made a batch of this. My kids don’t like oatmeal, but they will snack on this like it’s their favorite candy. They much prefer grits as a hot cereal (southern genes maybe?).
This is a recipe for basic granola, but the possibilities are endless on what you can add to it. Try adding Your favorite nuts, seeds, or dried fruit. I found the recipe for it here.
Preheat oven to 300 F and measure out three cups of rolled oats (not instant or the quick kind).
Bake the oats for 15 minutes, stir, and continue baking until the granola is light golden brown.
